Every Hide has an orange tube ladder up to the sleeping loft. People always ask why orange.

The interior is almost entirely plywood, linen and wool. We wanted one bright object to give the room a pulse.

Made to measure

The ladder is powder-coated steel in Ochre 2004, bent by a blacksmith in Allendale and hooked over the loft edge so it can be moved.

“One bright object gives a quiet room a pulse.”
